Women in Nuclear UK (WiN UK) is thrilled to announce that the 32nd Women in Nuclear (WiN) Global Annual Conference 2025, held in London, will be delivered in association with Great British Nuclear (GBN).

The event, which takes place on 14-18 July, aims to revolutionise the narrative surrounding the nuclear industry, to transform perceptions, foster understanding, and secure the global future of nuclear power.

Clare Sharpe, President WIN UK, said “I am delighted that WiN UK will be hosting the Global Conference in London 2025. We have a dedicated team preparing an exciting and inspiring agenda that will focus on how we can all advocate for nuclear energy.

“Nuclear power is an essential enabler for a sustainable future, providing a reliable source of low carbon energy, as well as enabling other benefits in security and medicine, however the public perception is often quite different. This conference aims to address those misunderstandings and provide the knowledge and tools our delegates will need to become influencers within the wider global community. Changing perceptions, dispelling myths and creating a “Positively Nuclear” culture.”

Great British Nuclear’s Chief Executive, Gwen Parry-Jones, said: “We are proud to be working in association with WiN UK and WiN Global to support the Women in Nuclear Global Conference 2025. Nuclear power is vital to meet our future energy needs as well as having a significant, positive impact on us reaching Net Zero. We are delighted to support a global gathering that will debate how we can engage with the wider community to communicate and truly understand the benefits of nuclear. “Positively Nuclear” is a vital conversation and we look forward to supporting WiN UK’s journey of influencing the narrative around nuclear energy in addition to their clear objectives for inclusivity and gender balance.

Jack Gritt, WiN Global Executive Director, said: “The nuclear industry is often misunderstood but plays a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable, low-carbon future.

“We are delighted to have GBN at the heart of this international event, demonstrating their commitment to support the UK’s nuclear industry. Together, we can change perceptions of nuclear energy, inspire the next generation of leaders and ensure that women have a prominent voice in the future of our sector.”

The conference will be a safe space for open dialogue, bringing together an audience with an interest in nuclear from across the globe to discuss the positive aspects of nuclear technology, how we can shape public perception, and create networking opportunities for everyone in the field.

The 2025 conference promises to be an exciting event featuring keynote speakers, panel discussions, interactive workshops and technical presentations focused on setting the record straight on nuclear, how to become an effective influencer, leadership and career development, and the unique challenges faced by women in nuclear. It aims to cultivate an inclusive atmosphere where participants can share experiences and collaborate on initiatives to promote the positive aspects of the nuclear industry and continue to champion gender diversity within the sector.
